Arash Shojachaikar studied Sociology in Teheran/Iran and Environmental Governance at the University of Freiburg. Since July 2015 he has been carrying out research as a doctoral student at ZIRIUS within the framework of the interdisciplinary Helmholtz Research School on Energy Scenarios.

His research focuses on "qualitative and semi-quantitative assessment methods in the construction of energy scenarios" and the role of CIB in this field.
