In January 2015 Anke Wellmann joined the Center for Interdisciplinary Risk and Innovation Studies University of Stuttgart (ZIRIUS) to commence a position as doctoral student within the Foundation for Environment and Damage Precautions framework. After having graduated in Management with International Business at Royal Holloway University of London (B.Sc.) she attained a double degree from the United Nations University and Maastricht University (M.Sc.) in Public Policy and Human Development. Choosing the specialization “Risk and Vulnerability” during her master studies, her dissertation topic examines patterns of risk perception concerning natural hazards and the subsequent influence on behaviour in crisis situations. As from 2015 she has been likewise a university lecturer at the University of Stuttgart and an active member of the Society for Risk Analysis (SRA). Her research interests include risk perception, natural hazards, international risk behavior and risk communication.
